Patricia A. Fario
Patricia A. Fario, of Cherry Hill (formerly of Bellmawr and Philadelphia), passed away peacefully on September 21, 2023 at the age of 65. She was the beloved daughter of the late Alma (nee Pirolli) and the late Alfonso Fario. Pat is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Pat was a natural-born teacher and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) and her Master of Arts in Education Degree from Seton Hall University. She enjoyed a career that spanned 30 years as an elementary school educator for the Diocese of Camden. She taught class levels from Kindergarten through 4th Grade and was beloved by her students for decades. She possessed an engaging child-like quality that enabled her to instantly connect to any child in her presence - whether in school or out of school. Pat loved to entertain them with her quick wit and humor and was a master at engaging them at their level. They found in her not only a teacher but a friend, mentor, confidante and buddy. nments were at Annunciation, St Joachim Parish (Bellmawr), Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, formerly St. Francis DeSales (Barrington), and Transfiguration (Collingswood). Pat spent her leisure time enjoying music, dining out, and taking an occasional trip to the casino. She was an avid sports enthusiast, passionately following all the local Philadelphia teams - most especially the Flyers. Her two passions - her students and her love of hockey - merged in a very proud moment for her when she was notified that 2 of her former students were drafted to play for a professional hockey team. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 10:00am to 11:00am at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, St. Vincent Pallotti Church, 901 Hopkins Rd., Haddon Twp., NJ 08033. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:00am. Interment is private.
