Claudia Ellison, 74 of Mt. Vernon, MO, a former Malvern, IA resident, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024 in Mt. Vernon. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at the Malvern Cemetery. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Malvern is caring for Claudia and her family. Vernon, MO, and a former Malvern, IA resident, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 in Mt. Vernon. Claudia, the oldest of five children of Charles Elwood and Joan Pauline (Trively) Ellison, was born on March 20, 1949 in Red Oak, IA. She grew up and attended schools in Malvern, graduating from the Malvern Community High School in 1968. Claudia enjoys sewing and cooking. She enjoyed the many camping trips with her family when they all were young children at home. Claudia worked for many years at the Manor of Malvern in Malvern and at Charles Schneider in Council Bluffs, IA. In 1999, Claudia moved to the Sidney Health Center in Sidney, IA.
