Obituary of Benjamin Hunter Churchill November 15th, 1999 - June 17th, 2024 Ben ("Winston") Churchill, 24, of Runnemede, New Jersey passed from this life by his own hand on Monday, June 17th. Ben described himself as an "international man of mystery" and was a powerful force for good in this world. Ben was a graduate of Baptist Regional School and student at Rowan and Camden County Colleges. Ben most recently worked as a Jiu Jitsu instructor at Maverick Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Merchantville. Ben was a member for many years at Collingswood Church of Christ. Ben's unique personality, intellect, compassion, and loyalty left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Ben loved a good philosophical debate. He was an avid hiker, martial artist, write, speaker, You-Tuber, and snake lover (like his Dad). Ben was also an EMT and held a black belt in Taekwondo from Mackenzie's Martial Arts and a blue belt in Jiu Jitsu from Strive Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy. Walter of Pennelville, NY; Sarah Hudson of Waynesboro, VA; and Lourine Churchill of Somerville, TX; his Aunt Jone and Uncle Richard Burr of Palm Harbor, FL; Aunt Anita and Uncle Craig Churchill of Abilene, TX; Aunt Kim and Uncle Kyle Beaty of Harrisonburg, VA; Uncle Mark and Deneene Hudson of Aiken, SC; and a host of cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his four biological grandparents John and Johanne Walter and Jack and Sue Churchill. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ben's name to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). A celebration of Ben's life will be conducted on Saturday, June 29th at the Collingswood Church of Christ, 300 White Horse Pike W, Collingswood, NJ. Viewing 9 am - 11 am and funeral service 11 am - 12 pm. Lunch will be provided at the church following the funeral service.
