Chris Dolezal

Christine "Chris" Dolezal, age 79, of Antigo, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2024. She was born on July 30, 1944 to the late Anton and Mary (Rine) Dolezal. After graduating from Holy Cross High School in Merrill, she moved to Milwaukee to be a nanny. In 1976 she moved back to her childhood home in Bryant and started her lifelong career as a housekeeper at Langlade Hospital, retiring in December of 2009. Chris is survived by two sisters, Liz of Antigo and Donna (Ernest) Howard in Maryland; sister-in-law, Rose (Raymond) Galuska of Antigo; further survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins, Pat Schmutzer of Deerbrook and Gary (Judy) Schmutzer family of Milwaukee and the family of the late Louis and Verna Rine. She was preceded in death by three sisters, MaryAnn (Martin) Krall, Dorothy and infant sister, Betty Jane; and two brothers, Butch and Jim (Charlene). A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, June 29 at 11 a.m. at St. Wencel Catholic Church, Neva with Rev. George Daniel officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
