years that she met Kenneth G Anderton, whom she married on June 29, 1962, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Their 53 years of marriage was a model for those who knew them, and together they raised four daughters: Michele, Melanie, Camille, and Angelie. They spent time in Logan, Twin Falls and Salt Lake City before settling in Vernal, Utah after Ken's completion of law school. Jeanne's life was marked by her deep commitment to her community and church. She served as President of the Uintah County Federation of Republican Women's Organization, and as an officer in both The Merry Mrs. Club and The Current Topics Club. For twenty years, she lovingly taught fourth grade at Ashley Elementary, where her exceptional dedication twice earned her the honor of "Teacher of the Year". She was a dedicated lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she served in many callings, including Relief Society President, Primary President, and Stake Primary President. Hers was a lifetime of devoted discipleship to Jesus Christ and in the service of those around her. Throughout her life, Jeanne tirelessly supported her husband Ken's community and church endeavors, while also managing their home with efficiency and love. She always prioritized attending the events and performances of their daughters, and took special care to make holidays a magical time for her family, investing countless hours into making every detail perfect. Besides raising her own children, she warmly welcomed friends and extended family members to live in her home when the need arose. She sacrificed many years to ensure her family members had the care they needed, but to her it was no sacrifice at all. Jeanne found solace and joy in her passions-whether it was spending time in her cabin at Flaming Gorge, rescuing and caring for cats, oil painting, decorating her home, or devouring books at a pace of two or three each week. Above all, Jeanne's greatest joy came from her roles as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her legacy as a peacemaker, nurturer, and loving matriarch will forever inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Laurence and Merle Siddoway; her husband, Kenneth G Anderton; her siblings, Donny Siddoway and LouEllen Siddoway Hunt; and her daughter, Michele Anderton, along with many feline companions. She leaves behind a legacy of love for her surviving family members, Melanie (Robert) Blaser, Camille (Jeremy) Johnston, Angelie Anderton; her grandchildren, Daniel (Jordan) Blaser, MaKenna (Cody) Whiting, Miriam (Sam) Merrill, Britain Johnston, Lincoln Johnston, Kennedy Anderton (Tanner), and Vibeke Anderson; and her great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Lawrence, Cal, Gracelyn, Finn, Ellis, Lucy, and Cynthia. Visitation will be Friday, June 28, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home (410 North 800 West, Vernal, UT 84078) and Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at Vernal Stake Center (850 West 100 North Vernal, UT 84078).
