Thomas F. McGovern, Sr., of Bensalem, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, passed suddenly on July 18, 2024. Age 69. Devoted husband of the late Sandra McGovern (nee Schultz). Loving father of Desiree Sides (the late Kevin Sides, Sr.), Danielle Amerman (John), Thomas McGovern, and Dana LaBar (Robert).Cherished grandfather of Kiersten, Karli, K.J., Alexis, Blane, and J.P. Dear brother of John McGovern (Joan), Francis McGovern (Kathy), and Monica Bishop (the late Jack). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Tom lived a quarter mile at a time. He enjoyed drag racing, swap meets, flea markets, the Pittsburgh Steelers, but most importantly he lived for his family whom he loved spending time with. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, July 24 from 6pm until 8pm and Thursday, July 25 from 9:15am until 10:15am at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Mass Thursday 11am at Holy Child Parish - St. Teresa RC Church, Runnemede. Interment will be private at the request of the family.[more]
