Myrtle E. Hubbs

Myrtle E. Hubbs (nee Lickfeld), on August 7, 2024, of Pitman, NJ. Age 89. Loving wife of the late Allen L. Hubbs, Sr. Devoted mother of Carol McGrath (Gerald), Allen Hubbs, Jr. (Terri), Eric Hubbs (Jennifer), Jerald Hubbs (Linda), and Scott Hubbs (Angela). Dear sister of the late Dorthy Lickfeld, Mildred Wootton, Roberta Chorzelewski, Robert Lickfeld, Vernon Lickfeld, and Milton Lickfeld. Cherished grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Myrtle proudly served her community as a 65-year member of the Rebekah's Lodge where she achieved the status of State of New Jersey, President. Myrtle was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church in Gloucester City. Myrtle may have been best known for her love for family and bringing family together for great food, and fun! All the family picnics, parties, and holidays revolved around Myrtle's plentiful home cooking including her world-famous Cole slaw, rice pudding, and ice tea! There will be a viewing from 9:30am until 11:30am on Saturday, August 10 at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral services 11:30am at the funeral home.
