Marjorie Mae Baraniak, age 83, of Antigo, died on September 18, 2024, at Rosalia Gardens under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was born on April 20, 1941 in Merrill, a daughter of the late Edward and Alma (Zoellner) Myszka. She married Richard Baraniak on July 11, 1964 in Bloomville. He preceded her in death on October 2, 1980. She was a graduate of Antigo High School, class of 1959. Marge was a proofreader for the Antigo Daily Journal for over 60 years. She retired in 2020. An active member of St. John Catholic Church, she sang in the choir, was a sacristan, member of the altar society and volunteered at the church fall festival in the Christmas booth. Marge enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafting, decorating her home for every season and holiday, and taking bus trips. Whether having coffee, lending a helping hand or planning a class reunion, she enjoyed being around people. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers-in-law, John Zuhlke, Jack Baraniak, Robert Baraniak, and Larry Kivlin; and a sister-in-law, Carol Baraniak A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 26, at 11:30 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann and Rev. Kamal Gopu concelebrating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the church in Hoffmann Hall. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established. A special thank you the staff of Rosalia Gardens Memory Care and LeRoyer Hospice for their care over the past year and a half. Your care was second to none and you added life to Marge's years. Thank you to Diane Stefanski, Dr. Noel Deep and the many friends and family who gave their support and assistance when she needed it. Dear Mom, you were the most unselfish and kindest person we knew. We were so lucky to have you as our mom. We miss you already. Love, Tammy and Jeff
