Kenneth Patrick Mendonca

Kenneth Mendonca, a long-time resident of Los Banos, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024, in Los Banos, CA with his family by his side. Kenneth was born February 16, 1935, in Los Banos, CA to Antonio and Maria Mendonca. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Kenneth was an electronics technician for 40 + years. He worked at Tricity and Curtis Mathis. He volunteered at the heating and cooling shelters and help to pack boxes for soldiers overseas with his wife. He built quilt racks for art exhibits at the May Day fair. There was nothing Kenneth could not repair whether it be a TV, radio or roof. If you wanted it built he would do it. Kenneth loved to eat drink and tell jokes. He enjoyed walking with his friends and attending the Dos Palos Broncos Highschool football games. His passion in life was traveling back to the Acores to visit and film his family and friends. He would come home and share those videos with family and friends here so they could see their loved ones again. He loved going to Portuguese festas and taking his grandchildren to bullfights. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio (Maria) Mendonça, brother Anthony (Gloria) Mendonca, niece Beverly Bryan, two grandsons, Brett Mendonca, Rodney Huff, and beloved wife of 64 years Gloria Mendonca. Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory: Are his children: Isabel Reid, Sandra (Rodney) Huff, Patrick (Dana) Mendonca, Robert Mendonca, Misty Mendonca and Shawn Carter; 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; one sister Mary Francis (Merlin) Raymond and many long time friends.
