James "Jimmy" Hunter, a father, son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on November 23, 2024 at the age of 54. Born on July 6, 1970, Jimmy brought joy and love to all who knew him. He enjoyed working with his hands and worked as a masonry, where he could demonstrate his skills and craftsmanship. Jimmy was known for fostering deep connections in the community, always ready with a smile or a helping hand. He was a natural leader in the NA community. His purpose wasn't just to help; he wanted to save people. Jimmy cherished the time he spent near the water, finding comfort and joy in fishing. His love for the great outdoors was deeply rooted in his spirit, providing moments of peace amidst the beauty of nature. Many will remember him sitting quietly by the water, rod in hand, welcoming the serenity that came with every cast. He is survived by his two sons, Austin and Gavin Hunter, father and stepmother, Charlie (Pops) and Stacey Hunter, along with his stepmother Geri Breaux, sisters, Susie Hunter and little Charli (Jeff) Zahlen, and his brothers, Joey (Cassie) Penny and Scott Penny. Though he leaves a profound void in the lives of his family and friends, Jimmy is reunited with his beloved mother, Bobbi McAninch, who preceded him in death. James (Jimmy) Hunter will be forever remembered for his jokes, beautiful smile, love of fishing and most of all; his eternal hope. His legacy of laughter and love will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.
