Lucille "Lucy" Meyer, of Antigo, was received into the loving arms of our Lord on February 5, 2025 under the care of Evergreen Terrace and LeRoyer Hospice in Antigo. She was 99 years old. She was born on December 17, 1925 in Milwaukee, a daughter of George, Sr. and Nora Maar. As a child, she and her brother George, Jr. moved with their family to Antigo. Lucy was a 1944 graduate of Antigo High School. She married John L. Meyer on October 1, 1949 in Antigo. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1975. Lucy was a homemaker for many years while raising their four children. She also worked part time for Sears Catalog and was a receptionist for Dr. Richard Kosterman, an Optometrist in Antigo. Later, she became the Deputy Register of Deeds at the Langlade County Court House where she worked until the time of her retirement. Lucy was an instant friend to all who met her. She had a very kind heart and people were always drawn to her. She enjoyed knitting and was also an avid book reader. She was happiest when she was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. leyball, cross country, hockey and tennis events. She was their biggest fan and rarely missed a game. Lucy is survived by her children, Carol Hendricks, Kathy (Dave) Greening, Tom (Camille) Meyer and Julie (Todd) Samolinski; grandchildren, Melanie and Jaclyn Hendricks, Amanda (Mike) Prachel, Patrick (Megan) Meyer, Alexa, Amaya, Noah and Alex Samolinski. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren, Tyler Loomis, Cadence Chojnacki, Wesley and Simon Meyer, Sawyer, Hayden, Delaney and Lennon Prachel. In addition to her husband and parents, Lucy was proceeded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, George, Jr. and Joy Maar; and grandsons, Kristopher Greening and Aaron Meyer. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 14, at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Kamal Gopu and Rev. Charles Hoffmann concelebrating. Burial will take place at a later date at the Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church in Hoffmann Hall.
