Christine Lynn (Holland) Hembree, 67, passed away during the morning hours of February 7, 2025. She was born in Washington, December 14, 1957, to John David Holland and Betty (Hill) Holland Roman. She was married to Dwight Hembree and they made their home together until his passing in 2011. Christine had worked at Perdue on the production line for many years and, later, was a custodian at Walmart. A woman of many interests, she enjoyed reading detective mysteries and playing Bingo. She liked to eat at various restaurants; looked forward to just going for a drive; and she loved going to shop at Goodwill with her mom. Christine had attended the Wheatland Christian Church. Those who now cherish Christine's memory include her children: Jason (Jennifer) Woodall of Petersburg; Beth Morris of Haysville; Joyce (Douglas) Sanchez of Jasper; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; as well as several nieces and nephews. During her lifetime, Christine mourned the loss of her father, John David Holland; stepmother, Elise Holland; mother, Betty Roman; and stepfather, Russell Roman; her husband, Dwight Hembree; son-in-law, Shane Morris; brother, Darrell Holland; stepbrothers, Doug and Dale Roman, Phil and Tommy Sorrel; stepsisters Molly, Peggy, and Diane Sorrel; and her special companion, Gordon Cornelius, who passed away in 2020. Christine's family would like to acknowledge the staff of the Prairie Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Washington for their compassionate care and dedication to Christine's comfort. Visitation for Christine Hembree will be 10:30 am- 2:30 pm, Monday, February 10, 2025, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana. Funeral services for Christine Hembree will immediately follow the visitation on Monday, February 10, 2025, and begin at 2:30 pm., also at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary. Pastor Brad Rainey will officiate.
