LaVonna Bartlett

LaVonna Bartlett passed away on February 15, 2025 after a long and exciting life of 97 years. A memorial service will be held at the United Church of Christ, Congregational in Elcho, Wisconsin on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Visitation is at 11 a.m. with the Celebration of Life following at 12 p.m. An inurnment service will be held in Moline, Illinois, at a later date. LaVonna June Woods was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. She went to school at Augusta College in Rock Island, Illinois where she met her husband, Robert H. Sward. She and Bob raised three sons in Moline, Illinois. She later married into two other loving and wonderful families, with Russell E. Kiesele and Boyd C. Bartlett. La is survived by her children, Steven (Carla), Scott (Debby), Peter (Cyndee), Jan (Kurt), and Barbara; her nephew, Phillip (Julia); niece, Kathryn (Marty); 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. La's life revolved around her extended families and the world of music. She taught piano lessons all her life and was on the Music Faculty at Black Hawk College, in Moline, Illinois.
