Cheryl A. Wilcott, of Mattoon, died on February 11, 2025 at Rose Mary Manor. She was 69 years old. She was born on October 26, 1955 in Marshfield, a daughter of James and Donna (Anderson) Wilcott. She was a graduate of the 1973 class of Auburndale High School. Cheryl worked for 32 years at General Telephone as a telephone operator. While in Sun Prairie she worked as a receptionist at a Chiropractor's office and drove cab. She also opened a holistic healing business with her friends, where she practiced as a Reiki Master. Cheryl loved all people, and spent much of her life traveling. She enjoyed travelling to Jamaica, Canada with her favorite brother, and once backpacked across Germany. Cheryl was fiercely independent, and a protector of the ones around her. She was a natural healer, practiced in Reiki, a Japanese healing technique of gentle touch. Cheryl was passionate about music, loved dancing, and went to many Rolling Stones concerts in her youth. She loved trying new foods, and sharing coffee and cookies with her family. Survivors include sister, Jan (Karl Illichmann) Revling of Pickerel; brother, Todd (Sandy Lang) Wilcott of Marathon; niece, Amber (Morgan) Roehrborn of Apple Valley, MN; and great-niece and nephew, Piper and Logan Roehrborn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved cat, Chubbs. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22, at 1 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home in Antigo. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22, from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home.
