Janette Abney

Janette Allean Abney, of Antigo, died on March 4, 2025 at The Bay at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. She was 89 years old. She was born on May 6, 1935 in Crandon, a daughter of Lewis and Gudrun (Cleveland) Weber. She married Garland Abney on August 21, 1954 in Crandon. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2014. She was a graduate of Crandon High School, class of 1953. Janette was a member of SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church. She enjoyed decorating the church and taking care of the sacristy. She was a past president of the Rosary Society and made Rev. Jeremiah Worman's vestments. She worked in potatoes, enjoyed volunteering, and crocheting. Survivors include a daughter, Rachel (Randall) Abney-Bruns of Manawa; two grandchildren, Hannah Brennecke of New Holstein and Eric Brennecke of Green Bay; two sisters, June (Victor) Bellomy of Crandon and Gladys (Leonard) Perry of Colgate; and a brother, Richard (Margaret) Weber of Crandon.
