David was born in Flint, MI, the youngest of 4 to Robert and Esther Milburn. He attended Zimmerman school, Flint, MI., Lake Fenton Community School, Fenton, MI, Sanford/Meridian School, Sanford, MI and Graduated from Byron High School in1963. Sargent Milburn served his country in Vietnam and was honorably discharged as Specialist, Cook, Kitchen Supervisor. He belonged to the American Veterans of Foreign Wars. He received the Lord as his savior at the age of 25. He married Brenda Ann Wicker July 5, 1969 and served the Lord at several different churches throughout his lifetime as Youth Pastor, Deacon, Awana leader, youth and children church worker and loved being a Bus Captain bringing boys and girls to church. His bus kids loved him and he was a father figure to many of them. Missionaries and preachers were his hero's and he filled many Bible pages with their autographs. Inurnment will take place at Iowa Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
