Robert Collier

Robert Carroll Collier was born on April 9, 1969, in Des Moines, Iowa to Beverly Joyce (Grant) and Richard Collier Sr. He was educated through the Des Moines Public School System and attended North High School. Robert met Cama through mutual social groups, and he took her hand in marriage on December 28, 1994. He became a stepfather and helped raise Cama's daughter, Zsanae. Robert was later blessed to have his own daughter, Jasmine. He provided for his family while working as a custodian for Marsden Building Maintenance for 10 years. Robert really missed his wife, Cama, after she passed away. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. Robert enjoyed playing video games during his leisure time. He used to play Grand Theft Auto with his wife and children. Robert had a collection of model cars. Robert enjoyed listening to west coast rap and old school music. He enjoyed watching "Soul Train" reruns and contestant game shows, such as "The Voice," with his mom, Beverly. Robert also liked to watch DIY (How It's Made) shows. r, Jasmine. Robert liked to entertain people. He was quite a comedian. Robert loved to laugh and spend time with friends and family. He had the nicest smile and a deep, unique voice to accompany it. Robert was the best friend and best brother to everyone. He had the kindest soul with a big heart. Robert would help anyone in any way possible, even if it was just a shoulder to cry on, or just to call and talk to him even when he wasn't doing too well himself. Robert would do anything to make you feel better and he found forgiveness in everyone. Robert Carroll Collier passed on May 5, 2025. Meeting him in heaven are his wife, Cama Collier; father, Richard "Dicky" Collier Sr., brothers, Richard Collier Jr., and Steven Collier; uncle, Ted and Jack; aunt, Agnes and Marion. Robert is left to be cherished by his children, Jasmine Collier and Zsanae Saunders; 5 grandchildren; mother, Beverly Williams; brothers, James and Raymond Collier; and a host of extended family and friends that he dearly loved.
