Marie M. Silva

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Marie Silva. Throughout Marie's life she had been a resident of Los Banos, Santa Cruz, and Palm Desert. Marie Silva, born January 25, 1927, in Dos Palos, California, to Joe and Madeline Leonard, passed away peacefully June 14, 2025, in Palm Desert, California. Marie's daughters, Louise Marie (Silva) Penaflor, and Cynthia Marie Silva, and brother John Leonard preceded her in death. She will be lovingly remembered by her family. Marie is survived by her siblings, Elaine Leonard (James), Alice Leonard (Albertson-Bowers), Joseph Leonard, and Frances Jean Leonard (Deinke), grandchildren Louis Penaflor and wife Carrie, Michael Penaflor and wife Shannon, Cathy Smith and husband Blake, and Joey Penaflor and wife Michelle, 7 great grandchildren Julia Wallen, Louis, Dylan, and Sophia Penaflor, Jake, Hannah, and Lance Smith, and 2 great-great grandchildren Wyatt and Tristan Wallen. She will be dearly missed by her friends at the Bella Villagio.
