Carl Hermes

Carl P. Hermes, 73, De Pere, died Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at his home. He was born October 12, 1931, to the late Joseph and Mary (Minten) Hermes in De Pere, Wisconsin. On October 16, 1954, he married Shirley Mueller at Zion Lutheran Church, Appleton, Wisconsin. Carl served his country in the U. S. Army from 1949 to 1954 in Japan, Korea and Europe. He received the Korean Service Ribbon ? 3 stars, U. N. Service Medal, National Defense Service, Occupation Medal, Combat Inf. Badge, and the Purple Heart. Carl had been employed at Proctor & Gamble for 36 years. Survivors include his wife, Shirley; four sons and their spouses, Randall and Patti Hermes, Stevens Point; Russell and Karen Hermes, De Pere; Robert Hermes and, special friend, Tina Nowicki, Stevens Point; and Ronald and Julie Laundrie Hermes, Madison; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Richard, a grandchild, Sara Hermes, brothers and sisters. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
