Hans Nielsen

Hans Nielsen, 91, Green Bay, died Monday, October 3, 2005. He was born May 25, 1914, to the late Jacob and Anna (Nielsen) Nielsen in Oconto, Wisconsin. On August 24, 1938, he married Meryl Peterson in Stefsonville, Wisconsin. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Hans loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at his beloved cabin in Athelstane. The biggest tragedy in his life was when his loving wife, Meryl, became ill and needed additional care at Manor Care, West. Survivors include his wife, Meryl; one daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Jay Froming, Green Bay; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Roger and Kathy Nielsen, Howard and Steven Nielsen, Coleman, Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Cheri (Steve) Nenahlo, Green Bay; Chad Froming, Plymouth, WI; Colleen (Nate) Mentink, Camp Pendleton, California; Eric (Jennifer) Nielsen, Stevens Point; and Gretchen Nielsen, Orlando, Florida; 6 great-grandchildren, Tucker Mentink, Kannon Mentink, Griffin Mentink, Taylor Nenahlo, Spencer Nenahlo, and Hans Nielsen; and one sister, Karen Redfield, Green Bay.
