Mary Lynn Schleis

Mary Lynn Schleis, 65, Ashwaubenon, died Friday, January 27, 2006, at a local nursing home. She was born May 5, 1940 to the late Neil and Violet (Snortum) Bloemer in De Pere. Mary graduated from pediatric nursing in Chicago. On February 17, 1962, she married Raymond Schleis at St. Mary's Catholic Church in De Pere. Mary had been employed at Shopko retiring in 2002 and prior to that had been employed as a pediatric nurse at St. Vincent Hospital. She was one of the main cooks for the Thanksgiving Day dinners at Nativity Of Our Lord Catholic Church. Mary enjoyed gardening, golfing and bowling with her family. For 30 years, she especially loved going to the Townsend area for summer vacations and enjoyed the campfires and star-gazing. Survivors include her husband, Raymond; three children, Beth (Roger) Benzschawel, Green Bay; Pam (Scott) Armatoski, Darboy; and Heidi (Mike) Mathey, Pulaski; three grandchildren, Brandon, Kayla and Karly; one brother, Robert (Janice) Bloemer, Saulkville; two sisters, Ruth (Byron) Nelson and Terrie (Jay) Vanderloop, both of DePere; two sisters-in-law, Trudy and Charlotte; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. arents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Thomas. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, January 29, at Lyndahl Funeral Home where a wake service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue after 10:00 A.M. Monday at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. James Hablewitz officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Mary's name. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at San Luis Medical and Rehab.
