Loretta Boettcher

Loretta W. Boettcher, 89, Green Bay passed away on Monday, May 11, 2009. She was born February 22, 1920 in the town of Franklin, Manitowoc County, to the late John and Anna (Stengel) Brandt. She married Walter G. Boettcher on October 12, 1940, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Green Bay; he preceded her in death May 17, 1992. Loretta graduated from East High School in 1938. She was employed at Green Bay Food Company for 13 years and later worked for A. C. Nielsen Company for 17 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Loretta and her family enjoyed many happy days at their cottage on the shore of Green Bay. She worked as a volunteer for the Brown County Senior Center. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Nancy Boettcher, Luxemburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Lawrence Gross, Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Jim (Amy), John (Diane), Eric (Michelle) Boettcher; Aaron (Lori) Gross; and Rebecca Gross-Schuette; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Ben, Madison, Lauren Boettcher; Jacob, Peter, Jessica, Abigail Gross; Sam Schuette; one step-grandson, Ryan Hoyhtya; two sisters-in-law, Joy Brandt, Reedsville a...[more]

Florence Brandt-Wagner, Wrightstown; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters and their spouses, LaVerne and Hubert Kiekhaefer, Bernadine and Victor Albers, Elmer Brandt, and Herbert Brandt; two step-brothers, Wilbert and Meinhardt Krahn; and one step-sister, Adele Laabs. Friends may call after 4 pm Friday, May 15, at Lyndahl Funeral Home where the funeral service will take place at 6 pm officiated by Rev. Paul Pett. Burial will be at Nicolet Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Loretta�s name. The family would like to express a special thank you to the entire staff at Bornemann Nursing Home for all of their care given to Loretta.
