Charlie Kowalski

Charlie Kowalski, 93, Goodman, died Friday, April 23, 2010 at a local nursing home. He was born December 20, 1916 in Goodman to the late Michael and Victoria (Sasada) Kowalski. Charlie served his country in the United States Army from 1944-46. On August 26, 1948, he married Mildred (Huttula) Anderson. He had been employed at the Goodman Sawmill as the head sawyer in the sawmill, retiring in 1980. Survivors include one son, Howard Anderson; two daughters and one son-in-law, Bernice Loudermilk and Janet and Darwin Bohm; eight grandchildren: Scott Bohm, Laurie (John) Hendzel, Bernice (Michael) Durkovic, Richard Loudermilk, Gary Loudermilk, Ron Loudermilk, Kevin Loudermilk, Tom Loudermilk. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ben, Steve and Chester; two sisters, Mayme and Norma; a son-in-law, Donald Loudermilk; daughter-in-law, Mary Anderson; and one grandson Alan Friends may call after 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Calvary Lutheran Church (1301 S.
