Kenneth Diedrick

Kenneth F. Diedrick, 84, Ashwaubenon, died Thursday, May 6, 2010, at a local nursing home. He was born April 5, 1926 to the late Francis and Ella (Eland) Diedrick. Kenneth served overseas as an army staff sergeant from 1945 to 1947 in France, Germany and Belgium. On July 16, 1949, he married Geraldine Mae Johnsen, celebrating their 60-year wedding anniversary last year. He retired in 1989 from Paper Converting after being employed there for 19 years. Kenneth was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church since 1974, a member of the American Legion, Sullivan-Wallen Post #11 and the VFW Post #2113. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting and loved going to his cabin in Amberg, Wisconsin. He was a big Packer fan, loved playing cards and visiting casinos. He was extremely generous and giving to others. Kenneth loved his dogs, especially Cubby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Diedrick. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday, May 10, at Lyndahl Funeral Home where the funeral service will take place at 5 p.m. Full military honors will follow the service. Burial will be at the Ashwaubenon Moravian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Kenneth’s name.
