Charles Stubbs

Charles A. Stubbs, 88, Green Bay, passed away on November 10, 2010. He was born on January 3, 1922 to the late William and Anna (Schlough) Stubbs. He served his country in the 13th Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Esther Ginsbach on January 13, 1940 in Red Wing, Minnesota. Charles was a teacher in the Green Bay Vocational System and the Green Bay Public Schools. He was a member of the Washington Masonic Lodge #21, Beja Shriners and a Boy Scout leader for 36 years. Charles was a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church for more than 50 years, serving various positions at the church. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Surviving are his wife, Esther; five children, Barry (Josephina) of Hialeah, Florida, Kathleen Roethle of Hartford, Wisconsin, Thomas (Mary) of Weston, Wisconsin, Richard (Cindy) Stubbs of West Bend, Wisconsin, Robert (Tammy) Stubbs of Denver, Colorado; a daughter-in-law, Naomi Benell of Denver, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Susan (Raul), Luke (Kelly), Jennifer (Scott), Adam (fiancée Dayna), Elizabeth, Gilian and Evan; two step-grandchildren, Douglas and Michelle; several great-grandchildren; two sist...[more]

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kyle Stubbs; an infant granddaughter; brothers and sisters, �..."Mini” and Fred Claflin, Martha and Elmer Stevens; John and Marie Miklian and William Miklian. Friends may call on Monday, November 15, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 341 Wilson Avenue, from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Diane Rew officiating. Military honors will follow. Interment of cremated remains will be at Fort Howard Memorial Park in the Veterans Memorial Garden. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.
