n, Amanda, Rebecca and Paula. He is further survived by four brothers and sisters-in-law: Richard and Loretta, Dennis and Mary, Kenneth and Sylvia, all of Manitowoc, and Greg and Wendy, Naples, FL. Surviving brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include Jerry and Mary Bursek, Santa Barbara, CA, Jim and Sandy Bursek, Townsend, WI, and Ron and Carol Bursek, Kenosha, WI. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Marie Scherer, and grandparents, George and Mary Trost, plus several uncles, aunts and cousins. Visitation will take place at Lyndahl Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2011, where a parish wake service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Drive, Green Bay, after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Demuth officiating. Inurnment will take place in Mount Calvary Cemetery, De Pere. The family would like to thank the hospital staffs at UW Hospital in Madison, Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee, St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay, with special recognition to Dr. Anthony Jazlowski and his staff at Green Bay Oncology as well as the staff of Unity Hospice, especially Ashley. Especially gratifying during the last seven years were the friends and classmates who took the time to stay in touch. Although the collective efforts did not change the final outcome, they certainly made the journey more bearable.
