She was a Newspaper Society Editor/Reporter/Columnist of "Rambling Rand's" for the Marshall Messenger-Independent and the Jeffers Review where she chronicled her life, her family, her recipes and her friendships. She was active in AARP, an instructor for the 55 Alive Programs, a CPR instructor-trainer and Toast Masters. Her favorite family activities and functions were rocking her grandchildren, cooking, camping and holiday get-togethers. She enjoyed playing Bridge, fishing, being with her kids and sharing Bible time with her friends. She enjoyed her time in Marshall, Texas' Rio Grande Valley, and Lake of the Woods, but Jeffers held her heart close. Gloria led her life by example. Her stout faith influenced and laid a strong foundation in her children and their children, as well as those who God brought to her. She worked tirelessly to help others and to make this world better for the next generations. She was a devoted daughter, wife and mother, a grandmother's warmth, a sister to all and a friend forever. She has joined her husband, Gordon, two daughters, Mary Jo and Lori Janeen, her parents Walter and Vera Quade and her sister and brother in law, Janet and James Miller in heaven as God promised. Gloria is survived by her son, Barry Edward Rand of Jeffers; and daughter, Denise Renee (Duane) Dahlheimer of St. Cloud; her grandchildren, Chad Wm. Albert (Stacie) Dahlheimer, Kelly Renee (Daniel) Malisheski, Ryan Edward (Amy) Rand, Matthew John Rand, Megan Jean (Jacob) Gernentz, Timothy Allan Swanson and Mc Kenzie Lynn Swanson; her Great-grandchildren, Ellie Alexis, Bryn Renee, Hunter Grant, Sophia Renee, Evelyn Louise, Hailey Jeane, Jada Jean, Dominic Allan, Brianna Lori, Kaylee Sue and Emily Gwen; her sisters; Phyllis (Wallace) Rand and Colleen (Wallace) Hedman. Blessed be the memory of Gloria Jeane Rand.
