John Kimball BUFFALO PRAIRIE, Illinois--John Kimball, 89, of Buffalo Prairie, Illinois, died on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at the Buffalo Prairie farm home in which he was born. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at the Buffalo Prairie Presbyterian Church. Burial will take place in Buffalo Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2011, at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo where Masonic services will be conducted at 7 p.m. by the Buffalo Prairie Masonic Lodge #679. Memorials may be made to Buffalo Prairie Presbyterian Church. John was born on May 11, 1922, in Buffalo Prairie, the son of Boyd and Iris Kistler Kimball. He graduated from Aledo High School in 1940 and married Emogene Whitney on December 22, 1944 in Buffalo Prairie, Illinois. John farmed all his life. He was the 4th generation to farm the ground which has been in the family since 1849. He was the longest standing member of Buffalo Prairie Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Emogene Kimball; two daughters, Janet McCaw and husband, Douglas, of Aledo, Illinois, Joann Kenneston and husband, Robert, of Boulder City, Nevada.; one son, Raymond Kimball and wife, Linda, of Illinois City, Illinois; three grandchildren, Jennifer Zecher and husband, Michael, of Aledo, Illinois, Chad Kaempfer and wife, Lisa, of Belvidere, Illinois, and Hunter Kimball of Illinois City, Illinois; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Kyle Kaempfer of Belvidere, Illinois; one sister, Darlene Mayhew of Aledo; one brother, Maurice Kimball and wife, Jeanean, of Buffalo Prairie, Illinois; and several loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
