Richard (Dick) Louis Crock, 50, of Tipton, died suddenly on Thursday, November 10, while he was at work. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 10:30 am, Fry Funeral Home, Tipton with the Rev. Ronald Lashmit officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 13, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the funeral home where a Parish Vigil service will be held at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Andy Kelly officiating. Burial will take place in the Rochester Cemetery. Casket Bearers are Harlan Hanks, Gary Klahn, Craig Anderson, Randy Scheetz, Tony Howell, and Derick Crock. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Mike Reynolds, Larry Salemink, Ron Jurek, Curt Garner, Neal Ford, Nolan Ford, Don Levens, Travis Cook and Kevin Dahms in memorium. A memorial fund has been established in his memory. Dick was born October 25, 1961 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and was the son of Paul R. and Geraldine Reihsen Crock. He graduated from Tipton High School in 1981. On September 8, 1984 he was united in marriage to Doreena Lynn Hillyer at Peace Church in Bennett, Iowa. Dick is survived by his wife, Doreena of Tipton, Iowa; daughter, Katelynn (Travis) Cook of Tipton, Iowa; son, Derick Crock of Ottumwa, Iowa; parents, Paul and Geri Crock of Mechanicsville, Iowa; sisters, Linda (Randy) Scheetz of Eldridge, Iowa, Paula Crock of Fairfax, Iowa, Donna (Curt) Garner of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Regina (Ron) Jurek of Waterloo, Iowa, Mary (Larry) Salemink of West Liberty, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
