Theodore Paul Kosiba

Sr. Kosiba, Theodore P., Sr., at the age of 78 of Ft. Lauderdale, FL peacefully went with the Lord Thursday, April 28, 2011. Ted was born in 1933 to his parents, the late Albert and Katarzyna Kosiba in New Bedford, MA. Ted graduated from the Greater New Bedford Institute of Technology. Ted married his childhood sweetheart Marjorie Perry and together had four children Deborah, Ted Jr, Mark and Kevin Kosiba. In 1962, Ted moved to the Ft. Lauderdale area where he worked as a Design Engineer specializing in the Aerospace and Defense industry. Some of his accomplishments were instrumental in developing the automotive airbag while working for Control Laser Corporation. Additionally he worked to design one of the first motor homes and worked on the NASA Apollo Space Development Program. In 1998, Ted retired from Heico Aerospace Corporation, Hollywood, FL. Ted is survived by wife Elinor S. Kosiba of Ft. Lauderdale, daughter Deborah Manafo of Myrtle Beach, SC, Ted Jr formerly of Atlanta, GA, Mark Kosiba of Plantation, FL, Kevin Kosiba of Albany, NY and stepson Peck Ames of Atlanta, GA. Ted's interests include member of the Pompano Elks Club, Baseball, Basketball and Poker. Viewing will be at the Fred Hunters Funeral Home, 718 S. Federal Highway, Ft. Lauderdale, FL Monday, May 2, 2011 5:30 - 7 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm. Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday May 3, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church of Ft.
