ecticut and assuming duties as the Chief of Medicine at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Hartford. Returning to private practice some years later, he was also a clinical faculty member of the University of Miami School of Medicine and, for a time, Chief of Medicine and Chief of Staff at Humana Hospital Biscayne. Late in his active career, Stanley was a Trustee of the Aventura Medical Center. A fine athlete, he played golf exceptionally well – something which gave him much joy and several wonderful friends. Stanley leaves many loved ones, including his cherished wife of 35 years, Daria; his siblings Marilyn and Walter (both of New York City); his children Carol and Janet (both of New York City), Victoria (Portland, CT), and Michael (New Orleans); and his grandchildren Samantha (New York City), Claire (Boulder, CO), and Eleanor (New Orleans). Stanley had a special bond with his niece Carly (Auburn, AL) and brother-in-law Fred (Hollywood, FL). Stanley’s family are very grateful to the exceptional staff of the Vitas Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations in Stanley’s memory to the New York University School of Medicine, the St. Vincent De Paul Society at the Little Flower Catholic Church (Hollywood, FL), or a favorite charity. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 26 at Fred Hunter’s funeral home, 6301 Taft St., Hollywood, FL (10am gathering of friends; 11am service).
