School as a cook. The family was involved in several things that she loved and felt helped her children grow and learn. To support her family in these activities she was the moral support, the driver, and the Mom I forgot runner. She was there for every activity the family participated in. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She supported athletic, 4-H and the Jasper County Fair. She also knew she had to be part of other organizations or support things she believed in for herself. She was a member of the Howard Street Christian Church, Sand Hill Grange, and Newton, Colfax, & Colfax-Mingo Booster Clubs. She volunteered in the kitchen at the church for years making meals for funerals and fund raisers. She bowled for several years with Kenneth and played pinnacle with friends for 50 years. Those left to honor her memory include her children; Dave (Sue) Warrick of Monroe, Jodi (Sean) Callahan of Mingo, Larry (Brenda) Warrick of Livonia, Missouri, Jack Warrick of Newton, and Karol Reitan (Winston) of Collins, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and seven great great grand children; a brother Ralph Parks of Centerville, Iowa and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Iris in death were her parents, husband in 2000, half sister Mary, and a great grand son, Jeremy.
