Funeral services for Forrest LaVerne Paul, 85, of Tipton who died Tuesday, November, 29, 2011 will be held Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 10:30 am at the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. His children will act as casket bearers with Rev. Ron Lashmit officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Memorials may be made to the Tipton Senior Dining or Cedar Manor Nursing Home. Forrest LaVerne Paul son of Russell Edward and Dorothy Marie Vietmeyer Paul, was born July 21, 1926 in Lanark, Illinois. Forrest graduated from Lanark High School in 1944 and Iowa State University in 1949 where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He served in the United States Army National Guard. On July 26, 1952, Forrest was united in marriage to Dorothy Maye Wright in Nashua, Iowa. He owned and operated Tipton Gambles Store, taught Vocational Agriculture in Mt. Vernon, and was a past member of the Tipton Chamber of Commerce.
