Kenneth Harlan Arnold

On November 12, 2008 Kenneth lost his eleven month long battle with lymphoma at the age of 75. Kenneth was born May 1, 1933 to Guy Merl & Martha Mae (Smith) Arnold. He grew up and went to school in the Puckerbrush and Chariton area. He served in the Korean Conflict in several army bases in the US and Germany. On June 29, 1953 he married Darlene Ann Steinbach and to this union was born four children: Gordon, Dennis, & Eric. An infant daughter died at birth. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Orval and Homer; and his infant daughter. He is survived by his wife, Darlene; and his sons: Gordon of Springfield, MO, Dennis (Cindy) of Chariton, and Eric (Julie) of Russell; four grandchildren: Brian Arnold of Chariton, Amanda (Michael) Brennecke of Clio, Nicole (Nick) Williams of Oskaloosa, and Jenny Arnold of Chariton; two great grandchildren: Makayla & Dylan Brennecke; a brother Keith (Phyllis) of Corydon, three sisters: Elma Pastrick of Fairfield, CA, Effie Pierschbacher of Chariton, and Ruby (Glen) Engle of Lincoln, NE; an aunt Vera Ruble of Liberty Center; and many nieces and nephews.
