Kermit was Born May 10, 1930 to Ola and Wilmer Patrick Wood in Kansas City, Missouri. After his mother passed away in 1937 his father married Flora Eva.
Kermit was married to Chloe Henderson and they were blessed with three sons: Kermit Jr., Gary, and Glen. He was later married to Ardith Trumbo. Kermit was proud to have worked for the Hy-Vee Distribution Center for 59 years. He also owned the Don Ellen Motel in Centerville for 3 years and worked as a driver for the Davenport Fish Company for 4 years. He was a member of the Chariton Volunteer Fire Department from 1959 until 1968, and was a Mason and Shriner from 1965 to the present.
Woody loved to tease people and loved to make people smile and laugh. He also liked to spend time in his garden and going fishing.
Woody was preceded in death by his parents, Ola & Wilmer; step mother Flora Eva; wife, Ardith Wood; sister, Patsy Evans; and step son, Craig Trumbo.
