Ronnie Collins, age 51, of Albia passed away on Thursday December 22, 2011 at his residence in Albia under the care of Hospice of Monroe County. Ronnie was born in Albia on October 7, 1960 to Tom and Jennie (Creanzie) Collins.
Ronnie attended the Albia Schools. He was a bartender for many years. He enjoyed fishing and bowling, and was an avid Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. He was a member of the Albia Eagles Club.
Survivors include his siblings, Kay (Ray) Stewart of Albia, Tom Collins of Knoxville, and Shirley (Richard) Plum of Lovilia, nieces and nephews, Kerry (Connie) Stewart of Albia, Kenny (Tammy) Stewart of Ottumwa, Cory Collins of Knoxville, Todd (Steph) Plum of Elkhorn,Ne, Tim (Steph) Plum of Bondurant, Bryan (Melanie) Daniels of Moravia, Carla (Dennis) Tripp of West Des Moines, Steven (Misty) Daniels of Newton, and a host of cousins and friends. Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Paulette Daniels
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 24, 2011 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Albia. Ronnie will be cremated after visitation and burial of remains will be at a later date.
