Gordon Brock

Gordon Gerald Brock was born May 13, 1922, at Northwood, Iowa, to Glen Cooley Brock and Pearl Elizabeth (Reed) Brock. He moved to the Hardy-Renwick area as a small child and graduated from Vernon Township School. He married Ruth Esther Steffen on July 3, 1966, at Renwick. The couple farmed until retiring and moving to Humboldt. Gordon served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1946. Gordon was an active member of the American Legion for over 50 years. Survivors include two step-daughters, Frances Kraft and husband Bill of Renwick, Iowa and Ruth Kennicker of Bella Vista, Arkansas, as well as five grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Also surviving is nephew, Greg Brock and wife Sandi of Texas; niece Debra and husband Craig Jorgenson of Des Moines, Iowa and niece Pam and husband Chris Connelly of Rogers, Arkansas.
