Marie Ratliff Yocum

Marie Ratliff Yocum, age 94, of Franklin, OH went home to be with the Lord on January 4, 2012 at the Atrium Medical Center. Marie was born in Pomeroyton, (Menifee County), KY on September 1, 1917 to Floyd and Ollie (Hale) Ratliff. She was an active member of Ridgeville Community Church nka Faith Alive Church. Her favorite scripture was Proverbs 17:22, "A merry heart does good like medicine". She retired from Inland Container in Middletown, OH in the 1970's. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edmond Cloyd Yocum, a son, Warren Yocum, 2 infant brothers, sister Eunice Taulbee, brothers Willard, Edison, Marvin, and Wendell Ratliff. Marie is survived by 5 children Merle Yocum, Janice (Jerry) Brickley, Wanda Yocum, Bill (Becky) Yocum, and Oleta (Robert) LeVangie; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a brother Herald (Joyce) Ratliff; a sister Neva (Kenny) Oliver, a sister-in-law Mary Lou Ratliff; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Saturday January 7, 2012 at 1pm at Anderson Funeral Home 40 N. Main St Springboro, OH with Pastor Mike Rhodehamel officiating. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery.
