Jonathan "Jon" Peterson, 43, of Burlington died Thursday, January 12, 2012, at his home.
Born November 2, 1968 in Burlington, he was the son of Ron and Linda Hopson Peterson. In 1990 he married Maria Landeros. They later divorced.
Jon was a 1987 graduate of Burlington High School. He was a carpenter for Brueck Construction the past 2 ½ years.
Hunting and fishing were his passions. He enjoyed duck, deer and turkey hunting, ice fishing, walleye fishing and bow hunting. He also enjoyed NASCAR and football. The time spent with his daughter, nephew and neice was special to Jon. He was very generous of himself with his family, friends and anyone who needed help.
Survivors include one daughter, Kali Peterson of Chesterton, Indiana; his parents, Ron and Linda Peterson of Burlington; one sister, Kari (Doug) Tolander of Kansas City, Missouri; aunts; uncles; cousins; nephew, Tate Tolander; and niece, Braylyn Bivens.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, three aunts, and one uncle.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m. Sunday, January 15th, in Lunning Chapel.
