Bradley A. Smith WATERLOO, Iowa--Bradley A. Smith, age 52, of Plainfield, died on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2012, at the Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. Interment will take place in Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Bradley A. Smith Family Fund at Lincoln Savings Bank, 242 Tower Park Dr. Waterloo, Iowa 50701 attn: Kari Gronosky in his memory. Brad was born October 19, 1959, in Muscatine, the son of Lupton and Lois Lenker Smith. He graduated from Muscatine High School in 1978 and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa in 1982. He married Lisa K. Koppes on June 16, 1990 in Cascade. To this union was born two sons Britton and Braydon. Brad taught at Bremwood Lutheran Children's Home in Waverly for fourteen years. st. He loved and adored socializing with many, but above all, he loved his children and supporting their events. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his sons, Britton Smith and Braydon Smith both of Plainfield; his mother, Lois Smith of Muscatine; his sisters, Judy McGee and husband, Jack, of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina, Sandy Gerdts of Longmont, Colorado, and Beverly Ash and husband, Carl, of Muscatine; and his fiancé, Sheri Lund of Waterloo. He is also survived by five God children, Cassidy, Corey, Henry, Kaylee and Tyler. He was preceded in death by his father.
