Alice A. Goertzen

Alice Anne Goertzen, age 78 of Centerville and formerly of Chisholm, MN, passed away Jan. 24, 2012 at St. Therese at St. Odilia in Shoreview. Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Lillian Viola (Rhodes) and James Utley Ward, Sr.; her brothers, James, Jr. in infancy, James, and David; and her sisters, Alta, Ruth and Elsie. Alice will be deeply missed by her husband of 49 years, Gary; her children, Eric Goertzen, Diane Goertzen and Debra (Tim) Stokes; nine grandchildren, Andrew (Brittney) Ebert, Jenni (Gavin) Hetletved, Amber Aardahl, Christiano DeMatta, Rachel Stokes, Ruth Stokes, Joseph Stokes, Rebekah Stokes, and John Stokes; two great grandchildren, Emma Ebert and Lucas Ebert; brothers, Truman (Amy) Ward, Prentice (Imogene) Ward and Joseph (Ginger) Ward; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, January 27th at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Dr. SW, Forest Lake with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM until the time of service.
