Steven Charles Wolf was born on February 11, 1957, in Algona, son of George and Janice (Sanders) Wolf. He grew up in Bancroft graduating from St. John's Catholic High School in 1975. Steve was married to Michelle Johnson on September 12, 1975, at St. John's Catholic Church. Steve served his country in the United States Marines from 1975 until he was honorably discharged as staff sergeant in 1983. After serving his country he then worked for various companies doing road, elevator, and bin construction. Feeling he was born a century too late, Steve was a true cowboy and had a great passion for riding. He lived for the times he spent camping and trail riding with friends and family. The memories and stories that he created will be carried on by many. He loved being with his family especially his grandchildren, Lincoln, Blake, Shelby, and Courtney. Steve was an active member of the McKinnon American Legion Post # 377 of Bancroft. He was also a lifetime member of the Seneca Saddle Club. n Wolf and her fiancé Jeremy Fraker and children Blake, Shelby, and Courtney, of Bancroft; his parents, George "Sonny" and Jan Wolf of Bancroft; two sisters, Laurie Simmons of Hayfield, and Angie Blair of Bancroft; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and two brothers, Monte on December 15, 2007, and Timothy on September 25, 2011.
