Edward H. Endres

Edward H. Endres, age 92, died on Monday, Jan. 30, 2012 at the Waunakee Manor Health Care Center. He was born on December 17, 1919 in Martinsville to Nick and Anna (Thies) Endres. He married Rita M. Meier in Martinsville on October 21, 1943 and they recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. Ed was a co-founder of Wipperfurth and Endres Excavating in Waunakee and was a partner in Country Aire Development. He was also one of the original partners of the Innkeeper. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and a long time choir member. One of his favorite pastimes was getting together with his fellow Rotarians on Thursdays for meetings at Rex's Innkeeper. Survivors include, his wife Rita; six children, Tom (Pat) of Brighton, MI, Terry (Betty Anne Sanguily) of Fort Collins, CO. Pat (Stephanie), Paul (Diane), Lynn (Daryl) and Leon (Laura) all of Waunakee; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister Cecelia Coyle; and in-laws, Mae Wipperfurth, Barbara Meier, Joe (Margaret) Meier, Tressa Kalscheuer, and Rosalia (Norbert) Michaels. Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, 209 South St. Waunakee. Friends may call on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q,Waunakee. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Waunakee Manor for the wonderful care provided to their Dad.
