FLORENCE BARBER Mrs. Florence Barber, formerly of Port Washington, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg. She was 93 years old. Florence was born in the Town of Forest on May 16, 1918, daughter of Otto and Wilhelmina Krug Mueller. Florence was united in marriage with Wendell Barber on July 2, 1938 in Port Washington. The couple settled in Port Washington and raised their family. Wendell preceded her in death in 1998. She was a former member of First Congregational Church in Port Washington. She was also a former member of the Port Washington Order of Eastern Star. Florence loved to play cards such as Kings in the Corner and Spades and especially loved BINGO. Florence is survived by her three daughters: Carol (Calvin) Butz of Port Washington, Mary (Glenn) Blumenberg of Port Washington and Wendy (Joseph) Petkus of Sun Lakes, AZ. She is further survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Other survivors include her sister Esther Swalby of Fond du Lac, daughter-in-law Janice Barber of Port Washington, son-in-law Robert Reuter of Tomahawk, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. is preceded in death by her husband, daughter Joan Reuter, son Paul Barber, two sisters Malita Ross and Angeline Mueller, and four brothers; Marvin, Lawrence, Harold, and Art Mueller. Funeral Services will be held at 4 PM on Sunday February 12th at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W Grand Ave. in Port Washington. Pastor Jeff Suddendorf will officiate. She will be laid to rest the following day beside her husband in Union Cemetery, Port Washington. The family will receive visitors on Sunday at the funeral home from 2-4PM. Memorials are suggested to First Congregational Church, Port Washington. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington is assisting the family.
