Marie Thill

Marie Catherine Thill was born May 27, 1922, at St. Benedict, Iowa, to John and Anna (Hilbert) Kellner. She attended school at St. Benedict and St. Cecelia's School in Algona. She cared for her mother during her illness then was married to Roman Thill on March 5, 1946, at St. Benedict. The couple farmed near St. Benedict until moving to Fairmont, Minnesota, 18 years ago. Marie enjoyed flowers, quilting, gardening and canning. She was a past Grand Regent of the St. Benedict C.D.A. Marie died on Thursday, February 9, 2012, at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the age of 89. Survivors include her children, daughter Marie Elaine Pufpaff of Minneapolis, MN; son Tim Thill and wife Donna of Forest City, IA; and daughter Ramona and husband Doug Hall of Fairmont, MN; 12 grandchildren, Mark Thill and wife Angie, Chris Thill, Wendy and husband Paul Albert, Monika and husband Ernest Lampe, Kelley Pufpaff and wife Josephine, Aaron Yaeger and wife Natalie, Sarah Strege, Lisa and husband Dan Swenson, Tom Hall and wife Laurie, Ann Mattson, Kimberly Ochoa and Peter Bao Vo and wife Lisa as well as 23 great grandchildren.
