Margie Prasalowicz

Margie Prasalowicz, of Antigo, died Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. She was 87 years old. She was born on August 3, 1924 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, a daughter of Alfred and Edith (Leslie) Green. She married Edward Prasalowicz on September 15, 1945 at Skagway, Alaska. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1985. She was raised in Vancouver and following marriage moved to the town of Ackley. Mrs. Prasalowicz waitressed at the Uptown Cafe, Club 77 and Gold Coast all in Antigo. For 27 years she waitressed and cooked at the Riverview Country Club retiring in 1987. She will long be remembered for her professional cooking and baking skills. She enjoyed baking, especially pies, and playing cards, bingo, going to the casino and spending time with family. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son, James Prasalowicz, a grandson, a great grandson, a son-in-law John Hilger; two brothers, James and William Green, a sister Edith Green. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. William Brunner officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Monday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 9-10 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. A parish wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday also at the funeral home.
