John Cairns Holcomb

Middleton - John C. Holcomb, age 77, passed away on Feb 2, 2012 at home surrounded by family and friends. John grew up in Hinsdale, Illinois. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a lifelong and very active member of the Chi Psi Lodge. He later moved to Indianapolis, where he had a distinguished career as an insurance executive with Protection Mutual (FM Global). John was an avid historian, a keen photographer and renowned piano player. He was a loving father to Nina Holcomb, Anna (Michael) Ferguson, Connie (Chris Uber) Holcomb, John (Amanda) Holcomb Jr. Cherished grandfather of Ian, Emmett and Duncan Ferguson, Ethan Uber, Theodore and Milo Holcomb. Friends are invited to Louisiannes's at 7464 Hubbard Avenue, Middleton, Wisconsin on Sun., Feb. 19, 2012, from 3:00 - 5:00 p. m. to remember John, listen to some jazz and share all the stories he so loved to hear and tell.
