Garber, Steven Allan June 20, 1947, Kingston NY - February 11, 2012, Malibu CA Steve spent his life fighting the odds and triumphing. He fought for himself, for his family, for his friends and for anyone who needed help. Steven is the bravest person I have ever known. He survived accidents, a heart attack and MDS cancer. But this time his body was too tired and his spirit too exhausted for him to triumph over the post-bone-marrow disease that has ravaged his body for the past 3 years. My wonderful, remarkable husband Steve finally ended his painful struggle and he passed away peacefully with me holding him at Cedars Sinai Hospital Saturday night, February 11, 2012. Our son Greg , his wife Marlene and their children Dylan and Zoe, Steve's mother Ruth Olgin, brother Paul Garber, brother-in-law Robert Neal, Aunt Dottie Dresher, nephew Ben Garber and nieces Suzanne Garber and Meghan Neal, and countless dear friends will miss him, as will I, his wife of 40 years, Mary Beth Garber.
