Ron Henderson

Ronald Gene Henderson, one of four sons of Roy Milton and Georgia Ellen (McGill) Henderson, was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on July 15, 1941. Ron grew up in Macedonia, Iowa and was a member of the first graduating class of the Carson-Macedonia High School in 1959. Following graduation, Ron worked at the Conoco Station in Carson and later worked for Carl McKenzie cleaning area feed lots. On March 17, 1962, Ron and Carol Joan McKenzie were united in marriage at the Carson Presbyterian Church. Ron and Carol made their home in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and were blessed with sons, Rod and Robert. While in Arkansas, Ron drove for McKenzie Road Service as a self-employed truck driver. In 1973, Ron and Carol purchased their current home east of Carson, and were blessed with their third son Rhett. Ron joined his brother Gerald on the family farm and hauled grain for area farmers. In 1996, Ron began driving a concrete truck for A.M. Cohron & Son from their new plant in Carson. Ron loved to cook and was an avid sportsman who enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. Ron was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Carol Henderson of Carson, Iowa; sons Rod Henderson and his wife Sheryl of Treynor, Iowa, Robert Henderson and his wife Patti of Wellsville, Kansas, and Rhett Henderson and his fiancé Lindsey Rollins of Council Bluffs, Iowa; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers Max Henderson and his wife Melva of Macedonia, Iowa, Gerald Henderson of Ekalaka, Montana, and Tom Henderson and his wife Vicky of Carson; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
