for a sudden illness. On September 8th, Laura moved to the Risen Son Christian Village near Council Bluffs, Iowa. The Angels came to take her Home on September 10, 2005 at the age of 90 years, 9 months, and 9 days. Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Lillian Edie; husband Harold Adair, Sr.; sons Lawrence (Tony) Adair and Harold Adair, Jr.; grandson Jeffrey Hoffman; and son-in-law Richard Hoffman; sisters Edna Griffin and Georgia Payne; half-sister Lorretta Gladback; and half-brother LeVern Edie. Laura is survived by her daughters, Elsie Hoffman of Silver City, Iowa; Joann Mayne of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Elizabeth Barnes and husband Bill of Silver City; Phyllis Boyer and husband Jim of Silver City; and Sharon Hurst and husband Charles of Sevierville, Tennessee; daughter-in-law Verla Adair of Malvern, Iowa; sister Lillian Calicotte of Hannibal, Missouri; half-brothers Kenneth Edie and wife Mae of Peoria, Illinois and Larry Edie of Denver, Colorado; half-sister Carol Barry and husband Everett of Kansas City, Missouri; 21 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
